Eastside Comedy Presents Festival of Arts Comedy Night Featuring John Novosad and Portland's Funniest Jordan Casner

GRESHAM, OR — June 2026 — Eastside Comedy continues the laughs during the Festival of Arts in Gresham with a special Saturday night comedy showcase on July 18 at the Gresham Center for the Arts Little Theater, located at 333 N Main Ave.

Supported by Boccelli's Ristorante and Gresham Ford, the event features two performances at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM, bringing nationally touring comedians to Historic Downtown Gresham as part of the Festival of Arts weekend celebration.

Headlining the evening is John Novosad, a stand-up comedian based out of Comedy Works in Denver, Colorado. Novosad made his network television debut on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and returned for a second appearance following a standout performance. He has also appeared on Byron Allen's nationally syndicated Comedy.TV.

His comedy album, Jokes I Can Only Tell Here, released on the 800 Pound Gorilla label, debuted in 2022 and is available on all major streaming platforms. In December 2024, his Dry Bar Comedy special was released on YouTube and has since surpassed 3 million views. Most recently, Novosad was awarded MVP of the 2025 Big Sky Comedy Festival, recognizing him as one of the festival's standout performers.

Joining Novosad is feature comedian Jordan Casner, one of the fastest-rising comedians in the Pacific Northwest. A stand-up comedian and writer from Portland, Oregon, Casner performs at clubs and festivals throughout the country and has toured with major acts including Taylor Tomlinson, Leanne Morgan, and David Spade.

Casner previously wrote for the live Portland sketch comedy show Wunderkonnent and was recently crowned Portland's Funniest Person for 2025 by Helium Comedy Club. He was also recognized as one of the Willamette Week Top 5 Comedians in Portland.

The event is open to guests 21 and older. Walk-up tickets will be available at the door based on availability, though advance reserved tickets are strongly encouraged. Ticket prices start at $20.
