About Adorned in Grace

Adorned in Grace Bridal and Formalwear is a nonprofit bridal and formalwear boutique with a mission to raise awareness and funds for the prevention of exploitation and the restoration of survivors. As a ministry of Compassion Connect, a Christian 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we bring together volunteers, churches, and community members to make a meaningful difference through every dress sold.

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and mission-driven Assistant Shop Manager to help oversee daily operations at our Raleigh Hills and Gresham locations. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has a heart for serving others, and wants to make a positive impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily shop operations, including customer service, sales transactions, inventory management, and donated merchandise.

• Create a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience for bridal and formalwear customers.

• Support, encourage, and coordinate volunteers while ensuring consistent store policies, procedures, and pricing.

• Respond to customer questions, concerns, and inquiries in person, by phone, and by email.

• Help maintain attractive merchandise displays and organized, inviting shop environments.

• Collaborate with volunteers and staff to develop social media content showcasing new inventory and promotions.

• Maintain accurate records, update databases, and assist with general shop administration.

• Support a positive, Christ-centered team environment and help resolve concerns with care and professionalism.

Qualifications

Faith and Character

• A personal commitment to following Jesus Christ and a passion for the mission of Adorned in Grace.

• Active involvement in a local church.

• Agreement with Compassion Connect's organizational values and the Nicene Creed.

• A positive, welcoming attitude and a heart for serving customers and volunteers.

Skills and Experience

• Strong interpersonal, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to encourage, engage, and support volunteers.

• Basic knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and cash handling.

• Familiarity with social media, computers, and web-based applications.

• Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and sound judgment.

• At least one year of retail experience preferred.

• Experience working with volunteers preferred.

• Knowledge of bridal fashion or the wedding industry is a plus.

• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, squat, and lift up to 35 pounds.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a part-time position averaging 15 hours per week, including Wednesdays at our Raleigh Hills shop and Saturdays at our Gresham shop.

Compensation is $16.50–$18.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

The Assistant Shop Manager reports directly to the Adorned in Grace Store Manager.
