A little about Megan:
Megan is a nurse who has worked in senior healthcare for close to 20 years now. She started as a Hospice volunteer, knowing that she wanted to become a nurse, but knew that she would also help people transition at end of life and was not sure how she personally would handle that role; while volunteering, Megan found that helping patients during this time was a blessing and honor.
Megan was set on being a nurse and worked as a CNA for hospice while attending nursing school. After graduation, she became a charge nurse in a community that had skilled nursing, assisted living and memory care, followed by many years in leadership roles, including training and staff support. In her current role as a Clinical Liaison for Kindred Hospice she serves patients, families and communities by providing them education about hospice, while also coordinating admissions to Hospice to help folks with what they need to be comfortable in their last months.
