Topic:  A day in the life of a Geriatric Person.

Think about what it would be like to be a little more forgetful than you would like to be. Stressful feelings creep in and suddenly, the normal activities we never thought about become difficult. These are called Activities of Daily Living. When one is having a problem preforming these activities life can be unpleasant. Let's explore how to understand a day in the life of a Geriatric Person.
On Our March Health and Wellness Zoom Meeting Let's look at what the Geriatric stage of life means and how we can enhance the quality of life of that person going through this last and final stage. Remember we will all be there one day if we live long enough.
 
Bio:
Jennifer Dormandy with Medical Vocational Planning, LLC, has been a Registered Nurse for 47 years. She graduated from Westchester School of Nursing in Valhalla, New York. She came out to the West Coast in 1975 and moved from San Jose, CA in 1978 to Gresham, OR where she fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. She has two grown sons, (Sean and Justin), and two dogs, (Simon and Shadow). She has had a diversity of experiences including Bedside, Employee Health, Dialysis, Case Management, and Geriatric Nursing. In her free time, she enjoys walking with her dogs, reading, watching interesting movies, knitting, cooking, entertaining friends, growing a garden, travel, and trips to the beach. Most of all she is thankful for the knowledge that she's gained in her nursing career and feels the need to give back to the community by sharing that knowledge and resources to those that need it most.
