The topic for this Business and Leaders Luncheon will be Bridges and Bonds, featuring updates on the Burnside Bridge Project and a bond measure from Mt Hood Community College.
The Burnside Bridge is due to undergo a full reconstruction in order to become fully earthquake ready. Without this, the Portland metro area will have no east-west transportation artery in the event of the Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake. Scores of local individuals from across industries have participated in the development of the proposed bridge upgrade, including the Chamber's own Neil Jensen. Come hear about the project and view the proposed plans for the Burnside Bridge!
Mt Hood Community College will have a new bond measure on the ballot in the spring to support essential upgrades to campus facilities, critical workforce shortages, and increasingly diverse student needs.
