Charity Gala- Gateway-Gresham Elks Lodge #1805

Description

On behalf of the Gateway-Gresham Elks Lodge, I am writing to request your support for our Charity Gala, which will be held on October 17, 2026. During this event, we will auction gift cards, merchandise, and services generously donated by individuals and businesses throughout our community. Proceeds from the Gala help fund our charitable programs and community initiatives.

The 502 members of Gateway-Gresham Elks Lodge support a variety of worthy causes throughout our community. We provide comfort items to veterans, assist families of local National Guard members, support My Father’s House through donations, and award scholarships each year to local high school seniors. We also support two important statewide programs: the Elks Children’s Eye Clinic at the Casey Eye Institute in Southeast Portland and Meadowood Springs Speech and Hearing Camp in Eastern Oregon, which serves children with communication challenges. In addition to providing financial assistance, our members contribute countless volunteer hours each year to these valuable programs.

We respectfully ask you to consider donating a gift card, gift certificate, merchandise item, service, or cash contribution for our auction. Your generosity will directly benefit children, veterans, and families throughout our community and Oregon.

As a token of our appreciation, all donors will be recognized on auction displays during the event, on a donor recognition poster displayed in the lodge lobby, and in the lodge newsletter.

We will also provide a donation receipt acknowledging your contribution and including our tax-exempt identification number for your records. Gateway-Gresham Elks Lodge is a 501(c)(8) nonprofit organization. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your donation.
