The Chamber's mission is to Advocate, Educate, and Collaborate with our local organizations for the vitality and prosperity of the region. Our Business and Leaders Luncheons are among the ways we fulfill that mission, and we invite you to join us for the monthly opportunity to network, learn, and grow over a delicious, locally prepared lunch.
This month's guest presenter is Tim Scott, Director of Multnomah County Elections and Leah Benson, Ranked Choice Voting Project Manager. Tim and Leah will be discussing RCV and what happens behind the scenes at Multnomah County Elections.
Tim Scott Bio: Tim Scott is the Director of Elections for Multnomah County, Oregon, the state's most populous county with almost 580,000 registered voters. Scott's 24-year career in Elections began with an internship in the City of Fairfax, Virginia Registrar's Office and he has worked for Multnomah County Elections for the past 18 years. He also spent two years working as a project manager for a voting system vendor where he gained valuable insight into the federal voting system certification process.
Leah Benson Bio: Leah Benson is the Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) Project Manager for Multnomah County Elections. She additionally provided oversight on the implementation of RCV in Portland's new form of government as a member of the Government Transition Advisory Committee for the City of Portland.
