SUMMARY:Hear Me Roar
DESCRIPTION:HEAR ME ROAR - Featuring Julianne Johnson\n\nWill she sing for us? Probably not at 7:30 in the morning\, but don't let that stop you from meeting in person a familiar name in Portland...Julianne Johnson. Two time 2008 Grammy nominee\, part time actor in major motion pictures\, Broadway stage veteran and Fox television sitcom actor. PCC instructor\, double major in music and theater\, and if that isn't enough\, she is also a recording artist. Michael Allen Harrison and Julianne perform together at many special events in our area.\n\n \n\n"I've been so blessed and lucky all rolled up into one." Julianne Johnson once wrote. "I've trained under people who didn't give me a way out and made me earn my way out. I've been able to land on my feet and work. I've always had enough tools to build a career."\n\n \n\nPerhaps that is because of her family character and roots. Julianne developed in a documentary "Grandma Zulu's Legacy?" The film follows her family's trek from the Deep South to Oregon and how they tried to fit into Portland's society. The film also shows how the family survived the Vanport Flood\, which was hard on the city's African-Americans.\n\n \n\nJulianne is engaging not just as a vocalist (amazing vocalist!) but as a woman. Her contributions to the community are many\, often\, and sincere. Have breakfast with her. Seats will go quickly.\n\n\n\nRingside Grill\n\n14021 NE Glisan Street\, Portland
